Those first days with your baby pass faster than you expect. One minute they’re tiny and curled up, and before you know it, everything has changed. Capturing that stage early is something you’ll never regret.

Newborn sessions are designed to preserve those first details—tiny fingers, soft expressions, and the connection between you and your baby—in a timeless, natural way.

With 28 years of experience in portrait photography, I specialize in creating clean, simple newborn images that focus on your baby without distractions. My style is soft, natural, and baby-led, allowing plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and keeping your baby comfortable throughout the session.

A Simple, Stress-Free Experience

My downtown Hickory, NC studio is fully stocked with wraps, headbands, and carefully selected props in neutral, timeless tones. There’s no need to bring anything unless you have a special item you’d like to include.

Sessions are relaxed and unhurried. I guide you through everything, so you can simply show up and enjoy the experience.

What to Expect

• Sessions are typically scheduled in the morning when babies are most settled
• Family and sibling images are taken first, followed by baby-only portraits
• Plenty of time is built in for feeding and comforting your baby
• I handle all posing and styling with safety and comfort as the top priority

After Your Session

Your images will be uploaded to an online proof gallery where you can select your favorites. Once selected, your final images are professionally edited and delivered ready for download, printing, and sharing.

When to Book

The best time for newborn photos is within the first 10–14 days after birth when babies are sleepiest and easiest to pose.

It’s recommended to book during your pregnancy to reserve your spot, and we’ll adjust your session date once your baby arrives.
