PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION
You are going to be so happy you booked this session. In this moment, we are going to create memories that will show how special a one year old is. And every single picture we take will showcase the pure joy of being one.
For the cake smash part of the session, we'll take a variety of photographs and videos (if ordered) we start with no cake the eating cake and then the mess of the cake and after the cake. Some packages have the wash tub as the closing.
A cake smash session can go two ways, and I'm prepared to photograph and video either!

THE COLORS
For the cake smash you can pick what colors you would like you incorporate into the session. I can can help with this by suggesting things we have to coordinate with your colors.
THE THEME
If there is a theme you would like to do for the cake smash session we can discuss how that theme can work for the session
THE PROPS
For the cake smash session you can pick what props you would like to incorporate into the session. If you pick a theme we will discuss props we have that will work great with that theme.
THE CAKE
If you pick a theme we can discuss what kind of cake will look best with that theme.
THE OUTFITS
Lets discuss outfit colors and what type of outfits will look great with the colors or the theme that you pick.
HOW MANY OUTFITS SHOULD I BRING? At least four outfits for the cake smash session is a good number, I like to always have a least two for variety's sake. You will need at least one outfit for before the cake pictures. If you don't want them to get cake all over that outfit you will need a separate outfit for them to wear while they are eating their cake. I always recommend bringing a backup outfit in case of accidents and they need a fast change. You will also need an outfit for them to wear once they are all cleaned up and the session is finished.
Please bring extra wipes, a comb or brush, non messy snacks, a cup with water or clear juice. Any special items you wan to include in session. All accessories that complement the session.
WHAT SHOULD I CONSIDER WHEN PLANNING OUTFITS?
My biggest piece advice is to choose something that coordinates well with the colors or theme that you picked out. My second piece of advice is to choose cute accessories that match .
CAN PARENTS OR SIBLINGS BE IN THE PHOTOGRAPHS . TOO?
Most one year olds are unpredictable and some children take longer than others to photograph the before cake pictures ad the actual cake smash pictures, I cant guarantee we have enough time for family poses so I always suggest adding more time to your session if these poses are important to you .
WHAT ABOUT PROPS FOR THE SESSION?
During the planning phase , we can discuss the props I have available and what you'd be interested in using during or shoot. For example, I have various backdrops, blankets, bird cages and lanterns, baskets and bowls and balloons. I am 100% open to you bringing your own props and other items, In fact, I love it when parents have their own props! After all, using something special of the child's may prove more meaningful. |
